CALLING VEGETARIAN MARRIED COUPLES!!

WE ARE NOW CASTING
for a humorous new channel 7 show created by comedian
Jerry Seinfeld

The Marriage Ref vows to look at relationships unlike
anything you've ever seen on TV

We are currently searching the country for outgoing and opinionated couples who have a longstanding issue that must be resolved

* Are you a vegetarian married to a meat eater?
* Does your spouse try to get you to eat meat?
* Maybe they even expect you to cook meat?
* Would you like a forum to put forward your point of view, and a referee to help resolve your dispute?

I’d love to hear from you

Hello Jessy and Welcome to the Forum.  It sounds like an interesting programme!  You sure you're not going to have a few divorces on your hands?  ;o)

Hope you get a good response.

Thanks for your warm welcome Dark Horse and Anthill.
We're definitely NOT aiming for divorces, this is Jerry Seinfeld not Jerry Springer!

We're interested in couples who love each other and are happily married, but have this on-going issue simmering away in the background, especially at mealtimes/family events/shopping trips/eating out.

It seems to be fairly common for only one partner to be a vegetarian, so hopefully someone is keen to talk about it...

Southern Star, is it true that Jerry Seinfeld is vegetarian? I'd LOVE it if you told me he is vegan...

Well, Mandolin and Noosagranny, I haven't actually eaten lunch with Jerry, but I believe that yes, he is a vegetarian (but pretty sure he's not vegan).
I will endeavour to confim this for you at some point!

Southern Star - why vegetarians?  Vegetarians are part of the problem, not the solution. Surely u guys have more foresight than to highlight vegetarianism over vegnanism... I'd be lookin closely at my research team and questioning y they are not enlightened enuff to open up a forum of veganism

I think Southern Star was using "vegetarian" as a generic term and after our discussion on the phone she is quite open to a vegan and meat-eating spouse.  It is a humorous show anyway about relationships not about getting into an argument about vegetarianism versus veganism.

And as for - "lookin closely at my research team and questioning y they are not enlightened enuff to open up a forum of veganism" (VW) - perhaps that could be seen as on a par with a vegan being unable to convince a meat-eating spouse to change?

Thank you, Dark Horse, I was indeed using 'vegetarian' as a generic catch-all term so as not to distinguish between/discriminate against any permutation of a veg-based diet.

No offence was meant by the misuse of the word, but apologies if this has been the case.
