Where are they now? Alby Mangels

	On Channel Seven tonight @ 6.30pm "Where are they now" has a segment on Alby Mangels. Whenever I talk about this guy...I seem to be the only one who remembers him...so I'm taping tonight's show for future evidence lol. I remember watching his show as a kid...and even then I could recognise the lame qualities in it...the fact he would have a different girl in a bikini every week and would say things like "well things are tough, we've run out of water, we may just die out here tonight" - even though the camera crew were standing right there, and the footage had obviously made it back to be edited and put on tv.... From what I remember, he's kind of like a cross between Russell Coight and the real Bushtucker Man. Someone has actually made this website as well... http://members.optusnet.com.au/alcalder2/alby.htm

	I heard a rumour he did 3 retakes of his dog falling of the back of his truck.

	I just watched his segment on the show...what a terrible piece of television. It's bad enough these two host Sunrise. Alby Mangels has aged quite a bit...talks very slowly as well. Apparently he released three 'World Safari' movies. He stated he was a big animal lover, but I couldn't find any info on the net to say whether or not he was a vegetarian. Well that ends that blast from the past. And I have it on tape now, so next time someone says they don't remember him - I have proof lol.

	I kind of remember Joe Mangel having a dog as well. A Golden labrador, if my memory serves me.
