We've been open for a couple of weeks... gaining confidence. Still not 'officially open' (whatever that means, but it's the official line), but definitely serving up really nice food with regular opening times. More info, photos and the menu here: http://www.whirledpeas.com.au/loving-hut-mount-gravatt-brisbane-opens-its-doors/

Awesome...that vegan iced coffee (with cream!) looks great. Is it just those Sundays you mentioned that you won't be open...will you be open this Friday? :)

I went today it was very nice. They have Suprmeme Master TV on display which was mostly broadcasting good news but did show some fur trade truths at one point which upset my stomach, so I recommend a sit not facing the TV.

Two of us had dinner here tonight - it was lovely, clean, bright, friendly and awesome! For entree, we had rice paper rolls (4.20 for four), I had a huuuge thing called ten .. ten something (it's a special) for 7.90 with heaps of rice, veges, soy strips and seaweed, and craig had spaghetti bol, which was so authentic and oooh so yummy. He also had the ice chocolate, which was SO delicious, and I got a piece of carrot cake for dessert- so yummy, and craig got rainbow icecream and fruit. Really glad this place has opened - can't wait to try everything else on the menu. They've got a huge space, and it's all modern, biodegradable, friendly and delicious - highly highly recommended! This restaurant sounds fantastic! Just wondering, is it entirely vegan? Or are there indicators on the menu of vegan/non-vegan foods, or should I be asking the waiters/waitresses about the foods? Thanks guys, can't wait to try it out!

hi yall monday 11am-8:30pm tuesday 11am-3pm wed 11am-8:30pm thu 11am-8:30pm fri 11am-8:30pm sat 11am-8:30pm sun 11am-8:30pm *closed 9 and 16 nov thanks for the enthusiasm, kitchen received it well :) and regarding the SMTV gruesomeness, it's very rare and alongside a lot of other really good stuff which really makes working at LH a pleasure. i'm not sure if i would turn it off during those rare moments (I'm aware of 2, including a fish episode and the one reported), still thinking about it. i know some people might be really pissed off, especially if they want to eat and feel good. but, hey we're not here for the money (only crazy people open restaurants for money, you know ;). not sure what else to say... look forward to meeting more of u, nice to meet matt and chris. do mention ur from veg soc

I can't wait to go there. Not to make anyone jealous but it's probably an easy 30 min walk from my place, super convenient. Yay!

Ha! It's only a 3 minute drive from mine! Though I haven't been yet, some so-called friends went there last night without me (and they only live two doors away from me)! :)

and yes, absolutely everything is guaranteed to be 100% vegan :) as much as is possible in the consumer society, as we all know when you are not making things yourself you are relying on other people's honesty, harvesting techniques etc. but we try as much as we humanly can to ensure no animal or milk products are present in anything we serve. it's a part of the franchise contract anyhow ;)

The rice paper rolls and the iced chocolate are lovely! But a bit of a sweet shock for me, as I don't eat sugar usually! Great looking menu, can't wait to try more. Husband very much liked the black bean meal. :)
