Review of But You Kill Ants

Review Hello Eve - your free range egg farmer sounds like a compassionate man - but where does he get his "replacement" hens from? It is bound to be from a commercial hatchery where all the male chicks go live into a grinder. You don''t need eggs. The hens have their own plans for their eggs. I hope you don''t use dairy either, do you, as that is even more cruel than the egg industry..
Thank you for your review and thank you for caring.

Review Funnily enough, I don''t kill ants! I will not even harm a cockroach or spider. I am not a specist. Every single animal has the ''right'' to live life without being subjected to our own opinions and cruelty. They too have a spirit, just like us, and just like us they can not choose which body they live their life experiences in. It is our responsibility to respect their body and soul and treat them accordingly. I picked this book up at my local library being attracted to the front cover, and because I don''t kill ants, and I knew it was an animal ethics book, thus, I just had to read it. My journey of being ovo-vegan began 4 years ago. Listening to my ''conciousness'', my ''higher self - my spirit'', I felt the feeling of the slaughtered animals pain and anguish and desperation. Suddenly, I stopped and educated myself beyong the pathetic media burocracy and fancy marketing labels and found horror story after horror story. Simply put I threw every packet of meat out (with prayer) and I have never eat meat again. I do eat eggs, however, I have contacted the organic/free range egg farm and he reassured me that there are no roosters on his farm, thus, the eggs the hens lay are not fertile and do not contain elements to create life. He also provides an old age sanctuary for his retired old hens, that is well guarded by his dogs. God bless farmers like this. I only support farmers like him and not commercial farmers. This book gave me a sigh of relief that there are actually a lot of people out there who do really care and do feel similar to the way I do - I HAVE ANY ANIMAL CRUELTY! I want to get in contact with the author and see if we can work on a project together about the stopping of the slaughter and brutal killing of the cows/bulls at the south african world cup soccor. If you are not aware about this please google it and sign the peitition, there is not much time left - we need your help, they need your help. Remember to forward it to your friends to sign to. Its also on Care2Petitions website. Please be aware some pictures will upset you, but you are not alone we the people who care are all upset and hang our head in shame of their actions but will hold our heads up high to claim the animals rights and we will protect them at means necessary. Thank you for your time.
