Review	To start with, if there was a Best Bubble Tea in Brisbane award, it would go to Kuan Yin. The food is relatively inexpensive ($6-$12 mains), incredibly filling, vegetarian/vegan, not too oily/salty/sugary (yet still bursting with flavour) and no MSG. They've recently expanded the menu slightly, while still retaining all the old goodies (fried dumplings, won tons, delicate combo, Taiwanese fried chicken, mock meats, etc). They have also recently started a discount service, if you bring your own takeaway container you get a 5% discount! How environmentally friendly :) Apart from visiting family and beach, Kuan Yin is the main reason I return to Brisbane every 3-4 months from Melbourne. It's that good. Review	Kuan Yin holds a religious place in my heart. Amazing food, great price, service always friendly though rushed (small footprint, high demand, so very understandable) durings peaks. We;re always prepared to wait for a table when we go. Give it a try, tip the staff generously and don't be a dick vegan like that reviewer who posts everywhere about his banana smoothie mixup at this place. If you treat wait staff like that regularly at restaurants, your probably and deservedly consuming more spit than dairy alternative in your smoothies.

Review	This place is absolutely amazing and great if you feel like adding a little faux meat to your diet. Even my carnivorous friends have trouble telling the difference! The staff are friendly, lots of vegan options and the service is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Review	I was most disappointed at the service. I ordered a banana smoothie with my meal and stipulated that I was vegan and didn't comsume milk or any other animal poducts and the waiter said they can use soy milk instead. When I received my order I asked is the drink definitely made with soy and they said "oh sorry we used normal milk". The waiter apologised and said we will make a soy one for you. The waiter then brings back a replacement banana smoothie (supposedly made with soy). After I had taken a drink from the second replacement banana smoothie, the girl runs out saying, we have given you the wrong one (dairy again!) and was laughing as if it was funny. Too bad if I had an allergy to milk protein or lactose. I wouldn't eat at this place ever again. If you are strict about your veganism - be very careful!

Review	I had the Miso Tofu soup which was very yummy and the three types of meat with vege. The portion size was perfect and i didnt walk away feeling bloated. Well thats until my sister and I couldnt resist ordering 2 of the Taro Milk teas and a pudding tea. Amazing food, cheap and staff fantastic.

Review	07 3252 4556 I have started stopping by for lunch once in a while and really think the food is great value for money. The resturant staff are super helpful and accomodating of dietary needs. The restaurant itself is quite small and may not easily accommodate larger groups. The decor is basic but it has a nice feel to it.

Review	I love love love love this place. The staff are adorable, the food is divine (you never feel bloated after eating it), and it's ubercheap. Can't fault it! Oh, the only bummer factor is that they have such short opening hours - it's so damned good that I want it to be available more often!

Review	Cheap and amazing. They make their pancakes vegan on request, and they're amazing! The taro soymilk tea is exceptional here, and the range of bento boxes is fun and tasty. The wontons and radish cakes are great entrees.

Review	Kuan Yin is without a doubt my favourite. Their food is fantastic value and the staff are wonderful. My favourite dishes are the Sweet and Sour Pork Rice, the Taiwanese Fried Chicken and the Wonton Noodle Soup. Almost everything is vegan and you can eat yourself silly even on a student's budget.

Review	Easily my favourite naughty treat. So easily accessible in the Valley. I eat there during lunch at least once a week. They always remember you - even after long absences. Try the bento box meals - i get the combo meal. It's like a christmas all over with all the little treats you get. In my opinion THE best little tea house in Brisbane

Review	The food at this sweet, little place is very consistent. I've been there several times now and I'm yet to be disappointed. The hot-list to try would be the fried dumplings(almost like a pancake) and the nori style entree. the sweet and sour pork rice box is highly recommended if you don't mind 'mock' meat. The service is excellent and friendly. The only real set back being the doors are always open and it can get a little noisy. But that's samll price to pay for wonderful, light, tasty food.

Review	Went here for the first time tonight after looking for a vegetarian mock meat restaurant in brisbane for a while... the food was fantastic. staff were friendly and efficient, meals were fast, reasonably priced and VERY tasty. Even my picky eating unsure of trying new things completely non vegetarian boyfriend liked it. the taiwanese fried chicken for entree is sooo yummy.. kinda spicy though but it was worth it and I dont usually like spicy food! Definately going back it was fantastic.

Review	Fresh, light food and very friendly, accommodating staff. Beautiful setting - lanterns, cane chairs and a great view into ChinaTown but set apart from it. They also have fresh juices and bubble tea. I recommend Taiwanese Fried Chicken.

Review	Great food, good sized portions and excellent service from lovely people. We tried the mock pork/rice and mock chicken/rice. We also tried the meatball soup and a hot/sour soup and some dumplings. Really nice relaxed environment. There's a great range of drinks to suit most tastes and we will certainly be going back. Review	My favorite vegetarian restaurant/cafe. You never know what you're going to get tho, as the same dish turns out different on different days! So many great teas to choose from. Be warned tho - the tofu salad really is a TOFU salad - tha's all it is.

Review	Most of the savoury dishes are vegan and the milk teas are available with soy milk. Service was fast and the food was great. The mock meat w/ rice dishes (and maybe most of the mains?) come with small quantities of around 4 other mock meats, so you get to try a few different things. Out of the three vegetarian Asian tea houses I’ve found in the valley, this is the biggest and has the most range. The staff were all very pleasant.

Review	A fantastic place to grab a quick, cheap bite to eat. Almost everything on their food menu is vegan (just double check you're not getting an egg with your meal; and the pancakes aren't vegan). The wonton soup and vegie mince are terrific snacks, and their chicken and rice is awesome. They've often got daily specials (meal + a drink) which can keep your visit cheap. The staff are fantastic, and deal well when a big crowd descends, wanting vegan meals. And try the taro drink (with soy milk)!

Review	This is a good place to get a quick and tasty meal. Not too expensive and the staff are always friendly. Portions are quite generous and have a variety of meals I like to get the veggie mince rice for $4.95 for a quick meal.
